Coalition Government
Coalition government in Africa is rare making Lesotho one of the few countries in Africa to have such a government. In 2012 the polical landscape changed after the general elections took place where parties have to unite in order to have expected number to form a government. Since the introduction of coalition government in Lesotho Politically motivated murders arise causing instability in the country. Is this form of government really bare fruitfull outcomes to Basotho nation?

What's your take on this one?
ReplyDeleteNna I don't see any fruitful results since the murder cases are rapidly increasing
ReplyDeleteThough coalition governments are a thing for the future and are likely to stay with us for the longest of time, Lesotho has proven NOT be ready for any form of coalition government. Coalitions that have been there from since 2012 were NOT on the basis of any ideological beliefs but rather for politicians furthering their narrow political agendas to the detriment of the population that voted them into power. Coalitions have always been used by mostly, "small parties" to get into government so as to access with ease the public coffers. But maybe again, politics in Lesotho are deeply rooted in HATRED. 🤷🏿♂️
ReplyDeleteMeaning we have a long way ahead because lipalo di dula di theoha tsa bakhethi nako eo dikhetho di bang teng hoo fang this small parties monyetla wa ho tla kena pusong to push their own agendas
DeleteYes it is very beneficial
ReplyDeleteHmm, am learning here
ReplyDeleteTo certain extent it is beneficial because it gives even small parties to have part in our governmence
